Our Memory Care Program & Philosophy

Our Program

Magnolias communities are home to The Manor, the most highly regarded Alzheimer’s care program in Georgia today. We created The Manor in response to the tremendous need for a therapeutic approach to Alzheimer’s care delivered in a safe, secure setting with all the comforts of home.

And The Manor is home. For seniors living with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease, home is a place that feels warm and familiar. Home is a place where friendly faces encourage and embrace, and somehow, know just what to do and say to make things right. Most of all, home is a place of total acceptance. Here, there is peace where there was once turmoil. Love instead of fear. The promise of good days still to come.

For families, there is such relief in what The Manor is not. It is not a nursing home. It is not an institution. And it is not good-bye. The family often sees a marked improvement in a loved one’s emotional state as well as the return of some cognitive functions they feared were lost forever.

For Magnolias, one of the greatest testaments to our Garden Place program is in watching families reconnect and share meaningful time and experiences with one another again.

We recognize that memory loss is unique to each individual. Magnolia designed The Manor with painstaking attention to detail. Everything a resident touches in the community – and everything and everyone that touches them – is carefully drawn from the latest research available on Alzheimer’s care. Magnolias highly trained team members follow a system of best practices that has made the company a leader among senior care providers.

Residents of The Manor benefit from:

  • A safe, stimulating and supportive environment
  • A secure community where they are free to safely explore interior spaces, patios, fruit and flower gardens
  • A mix of daily activities – cognitive, physical and spiritual – that connect them to the life they knew and pastimes they enjoyed
  • Assistance with the tasks of daily living, with a focus on maintaining independence and preserving life skills for as long as possible
  • Progressive care that adapts along with their changing needs
  • Respect, compassion and dignity

The same caregivers remain involved with the residents creating familiarity and friendship needed for those with dementia. Daily routines make days predictable and free from stress, creating a sense of security.
