Our Memory Care Program & Philosophy
Our Program
Magnolia communities are home to The Manor, the most esteemed Alzheimer’s care program in Georgia. We created The Manor in response to the tremendous need for a therapeutic approach to Alzheimer’s care, delivered in a safe, secure setting with all the comforts of home.
And The Manor is home. For seniors living with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease, home should be a place that feels warm and familiar. Home is a place where friendly faces encourage and embrace. Home is a place of total acceptance. Here, there is peace where there was once turmoil. Love where there was once fear. The promise of good days still to come.
For families, the relief is in what The Manor is not. It is not a nursing home. It is not an institution. It is not good-bye. Family members often see a marked improvement in a loved one’s emotional state as well as a return of cognitive functions they feared were lost forever.
For Magnolia, one of the greatest testaments to our memory care program is watching families reconnect and share meaningful time and experience again.
We recognize that memory loss is unique to each individual. Magnolia designed The Manor with painstaking attention trickled down to the finest detail. Everything a resident interacts with in the community — and everything and everyone that interacts with them — is carefully outlined and our methods drawn from the latest research available on Alzheimer’s care. The Manor’s highly trained team members abide by a system of practices that has made the company a leader amongst memory care providers.
Residents of The Manor benefit from:
- A safe, stimulating and supportive environment
- A secure community where they are free to safely explore interior spaces, patios, fruit and flower gardens
- A mix of daily activities – cognitive, physical and spiritual – that connects them to the life they knew and pastimes they enjoyed
- Assistance with the tasks of daily living, with a focus on maintaining independence and preserving life skills
- Progressive care that adapts along a resident’s changing needs
- A culture of respect, compassion and dignity
The same caregivers remain involved with the residents, creating familiarity and friendship needed for those with dementia. Daily routines make days predictable and free from stress, creating security and peacefulness.
